Returning Students Orientation and Enrolment
In line with COVID-19 safety measures, HIC is carrying out the January 2022 orientation and enrolment process online.
Instead of enrolling face-to-face, you are asked to complete an online enrolment questionnaire and submit documents via email.
- Please complete and submit the online enrolment questionnaire for returning students.
- Please ensure you upload any additional documents through the enrolment questionnaire.
- You do not have to wait for the week of enrolment to complete the questionnaire.
The enrolment dates are as follows:
- Enrolment start date for all returning students – 11th January 2022
- Classes start date for all students – 24th January 2022
Please note, that once HIC receive your enrolment forms it can take up to 3 to 4 working days for the forms to be processed.
It is important that all returning students enrol with HIC to receive their academic timetable and register with the UH if changing academic levels (i.e progressing from foundation to 1st year). These are two separate processes.
For those students studying an HIC programme (Foundation, 1st year Business, Pre-Masters or IEL programme)- all teaching will be conducted online from the 24th January 2022 until the 11th February 2022. Then from the 14th of February 2022, we are aiming to run some classes face to face (hybrid approach) – providing Government guidelines allow us to do so.
For those students studying an integrated 1st year programme – all teaching will be conducted face to face from the 17th January 2022. All integrated students are required to come to the UK.
Students who come to the UK to study must attend the face to face classes that are provided. This is a UKVI and College requirement. As a result it is vital that students live within a 30 minute distance to the College
Students must contact HIC if they experience any travel restrictions due to COVID 19.
It is recommended for any students joining us from overseas, to ensure that they check the latest UK Self-Isolation requirements (more information is available on this website ). This will enable students to arrive in the UK in sufficient time to self-isolate (if applicable) first before the face to face classes start.
Please be aware that if you are travelling to the UK you will need to do a PCR test before travelling and upon arrival in the UK. The rules are different depending on where you are travelling from and if you are vaccinated or not. Please refer to the website for more information this website. If you provide a positive result on day 2 of arrival, you will need to self-isolate for 10 days. Firstly, you will need to book the COVID test to take in your home country and then pre book the PCR test before you travel to the UK. Please find the list of testing providers.
*Please be aware that the face to face teaching dates could change due to the pandemic.
